    Hi,
New here and new to this camera, only just got it. works fine and takes decent pictures but please have a look at the attached picture. this is what I see when I try to view on the camera and I dont know how to get it back to just the picture showing. If I view slide show its fine and the pictures are normal when I transfer them to pc or read the memory card. Any suggestions please ?
Thanks Alan canon 001.JPG canon 001.JPG

There are only a handful of buttons i think would be applicable, display would rotate between display types, also this appears to be a zoom function of the image, so the magnifying glass probably was pressed and you can press it till it returns back to not magnified, usually you can navigate around the magnified image with the grid / arrows depending on the camera.

Edit: a closer look at your camera, being its a point and shoot, the lens zoom control on top is likely what is zooming the image.

The information you want is on page 1095 of the manual, see here:

    Hope this helps Alan.

Thanks, that helped a lot I found in the tools a reset button which has taken it back to factory setting and that has done the trick.
Its working as it should now.

    Thanks Alan
