Hello all, new member looking for advice.

Been a Canon owner for decades and haven't had any real call for repairs, years ago my trusty A1 needed fixing and I just went to the local dealer, who has long since retired, and got it sorted.

I'm now getting problems with my 6D mk2 which could well be a screw come off the motherboard. (weird stuff is happening with battery loading and other buttons)

I'm based in south Dorset and my question is,

What's the best course of action these days?

Send back to Canon, find a local authorised repairer or use an independent.

I'm looking for recommendations in the Poole, Dorchester area preferably as I'm not keen on posting.

    Anybody?

btw, I've looked at the DIY option of taking the base off and really don't fancy it :)

Thanks Keith, they seem to be a national company that use the location of whatever goes into Google. Have you used them?

I was hoping for a recommendation as it's a real risk using companies like this.

I've just seen that Castle Cameras, who I buy all my kit from now has a Bournemouth branch and offers repairs, anybody used them for repairs?
