    Hi there,
Just back into photography after a longish break. I have bought an M6 mkii and a small selection of M lenses. My question is, what are my options for an external flashgun for use with a diffuser for macro photography. I want it to be fully functional ETTL, wireless or other features are not necessary

    Thanks

i have the godox TT350(c) the c is for canon version, its a 2 cell smaller flash as i found the fullsize 4 cell ones a bit too top heavy on my M50.

the other i use is the godox MF-12 but its a cold shoe set up so probably not what you want for your application,

have you checked out Laowa 65mm efm 2:1 macro lens?
its a scaled down version of their 100mm EF lens, both have excellent macro optics

Welcome to the forum. For macro may I suggest a ring light set-up. Canon's ringlight is rather costly but other after market mfg offer theirs at a fraction of that cost. Google ring light and see what pops up. Good luck.

Thankyou for your input, I do like the fact the flash is smaller than the 4 cell units as this will be used extensively in rainforests and other far flung areas of the world and weight and size are important. The lens also looks very interesting too

I have looked at ring lights and have found them to be a little harsh for the insects and creepy crawlies I’m searching for. This is why I need to use a full size diffuser
