This month I picked an object type, look for interesting compositions with metal objects.

    Again, the rules are simple:
    • Should be be using some canon gear , this is a canon forum after all.
    • Shot with the assignment in mind, go out and shoot something new don't dig up something from the archives.
    • and most importantly have fun.

This thread needs more metal pictures.
Over 3 billion tons of metal is produced every year so their should be no shortage of metal subjects to photograph

One of the thing i have been pottering about with is converting a generic tool cart into a cart for my plasma cutter with a cutting top and a self contained spark catcher, the white bit, unfortunately i'd painted it before this months topic came up as it was all still in bare steel then.

heres a 'mood' image for the metal topic, the cutting slats

well it has just been done, i still have clamps and other additional bits to make but i'll wait till i start using it to see how i need those to be configured depending on the objects being cut, one thing i will be making is a small grid system which can be swapped out for the slats for small objects

next up for it is to make two side "pockets" to put the slats in so i can put a wooden board in the place of them so i can use it as a horizontal surface, my garage is only 3x6 meters so i need to make use of the smaller stuff hence why i converted this trolley rather than buy one, buying one would have been easy but too big

more to come from the wooden thing in the background, a couple of flower containers later

Caladina, Nice photographs of the cart, which will house the plasma cutter. Color helps make the photograph look clearer.

Sometimes the old sayings are right, there is one that says “Shoemaker to your shoes” means that one should avoid getting involved in matters for which he is not prepared by dedicating himself to those for which he is qualified.

He had two belts and one was very worn but had a strong buckle, while the other's buckle had a very attractive system, but he didn't get a good grip on the belt and it came off.

It occurred to me that by throwing away the old one and saving its buckle, I could assemble it again. To do so, I bought tools and accessories, using “Glue-3” glue. After struggling for a morning, all I did was get sticky hands, and a bulge in the buckle area without the holes I made in the leather lining up. In the end I decided to go to a shoemaker who, in an instant, cut a little of what he had made and put the buckle back in place, solving the problem for 5 euros.

I'm sending you some photographs of the tool display, which were of no use to me.
