    After weeks of wind and rain, we finally got a nice day, this was taken at Seven Mile Beach in Tasmania seven mile beach field trip 03092024-11.jpg

    Those long pointed petals are rather striking Craig, do you know what species it is?

    I have no idea, but it must be very hardy as it is in a salty sandy enviroment.

    This lovely bloom rather piqued my interest so I ploughed through a list of plants listed on this beach on Google and I think it is called Lady Fingers (Caladenia catenata). :) Given the trend today I think Lady Fingernails would be more appropriate.:rolleyes:

    Given the salty, sandy enviroment it survives in round pedals would not last very long, the beach gets it's name from the beach being seven miles of surfable distance and some pretty cool fishing.
