I gave my 'Gift' A-1 another outing to see if the intermittent 'Over-Exposure' fault had cleared , using some outdated 'BOOTS' ( FUJI) 400 film I got when I used to get work for the Yellow Advertiser Newspaper Group before they went ' All digital' so it is OLD but in Fridge for years and I downrated it to 200 ASA -- on some there WAS STILL the OVER-EXPOSURE causing bad grain on scanning- for example the one of the SHADOWS is a DENSE NEG, I used a CANON FD 135mm f3.5 for the Churchyard Flower and for rest a auto MAKINON MC zoom 35-70mm f3.5-4.9 breechlock fit I got free from someone - I used the 'Macro' setting an 70mm on some - couple are sharp enough but one of small twigs against green moss a bit poor .
A nice series of images, you have there, Peter. I have this camera in my collection, it's last time out was last Christmas. I do like the 135mm focal length, I do not thave the canon version of the focal length but a Tamron BBar with a multi coated lens. This lens requires a adapter to use on the A-1 and I have several other adapters for this to fit a variety of cameras.
i have that TAMRON BBAR MC close-focus 135mm f2.5 lens ! It has the Adaptall mount for Contax / Yashica so I use it on,y Contax RT II Quartz and my FR-1 which were both 'Saved-From-A Dump' years ago !
Peter, I found that they put out a nice series of lenses as I have several, and I have adapters for my Canon 60D Canon FD and FL mount cameras such as the A1 and the T70 film cameras, Pentax K mount lenses for the Pentax MX and MV. For the last 15 years I have volunteered at a Vinnies op shop, where I have purchased most of my lenses from, some I had to strip down and clean fungus, dust and fog out of them. I had seen your last video on Pentax 17, it's good to see new film cameras coming out.
