This month's photo topic is "New Years Resolution" Ok, this may be a a great or a horrible idea for a challenge, but it happens once a year so here we go. Take your new years resolution and find a way to photograph it. Some may need more creative approach than others. And if you want you can leave it to the group to guess the resolution even. Happy shooting! Again, the rules are simple: Should be be using some canon gear , this is a canon forum after all. Shot with the assignment in mind, go out and shoot something new don't dig up something from the archives. and most importantly have fun.
yep, same i made a new year resolution couple decades ago to never make a new years resolution. though it might be fun photographing people breaking theirs
How do you know when some-one is breaking a new years resolution, I do not know of any-one who has made one. When you are younger and want to get somewhere in life, you might do it then but when you get older, you tend to have sorted things out in your life.
I wasn't overthinking how simple these can be, maybe you want to get up earlier/sleep in less, and you photograph the alarm clock.
an idea for February Same but different - Two or more things that are the same but differ, ie a horse shoe and a high heel shoe, or a large rock and a small rock/stone, a group of birds with each one being a different breed etc
Hi everyone, I just looked at the contest forum and I think you are right, I don't remember when I made any resolutions, maybe when I was a student. Usually they were abandoned sooner rather than later and in the end the course of events prevailed, something similar to the promises of politicians. However, I didn't like seeing January without photographs and I decided to do something, which seems more like a test, to send two photographs. Last year on Black Friday, I bought two gadgets to do macro and to better hold the camera on the tripod and I hadn't tried it yet, then the promise of taking two photos and trying the magnifying lens that I bought.
José, I purchased the cool looking L bracket also. I have a Mamiya super 23 camera and it's a large film camera that is difficult to mount on a tripod in the vertical position.
Craig, Thanks. I saw a Pentax forum member who had one on his camera and he said he bought it on e-bay, I looked it up and when it arrived it didn't fit the Pentax properly, but the Canon fit perfectly.
L brackets are a life saver when shooting verticals on tripod, I kinda feel it is something most people should have in their bag if they use a tripod for much shooting, obviously it depends on the shooting style and subjects of the photographer...
