i got an SL1 because i needed the lightest possible camera due to wrist issues. but i've discovered i can use a wrist brace and up the weight a little, and i had been interested in the T6s for the second control dial, more cross type focus points and the articulated screen, and i think the top screen might be a help, too. and it would be great to have a real grip - i'm only 5' 3" and the SL1's legendary stubby grip is... er... challenging :D

i'm wondering if anyone here has owned or used both. if so, any input here would be useful.

All pluses and it seems the body flange is all metal. Is not the case with SL1 :(

Now, imagine what a poorly executed metal lens adapter could do to your flange... Or a plastic adapter that is designed to be tight, as is my adapter... And you can't even change it with a full metal one... I will end up sticking a prime with glue, maybe a 24mm 2.8 to make it a general photography camera...

not the T6, the T6s - it's got 2 control wheels, is about two steps up from the T6. i rented one, and it also has better autofocus than my SL1 - having a single control dial is a pain in the butt, and the autofocus on the T6s got me lots more keepers. i'll have to get around to selling the SL1 so i can buy a T6s or the camera that comes after it, the 77D.
