There's the 5D, 5DS, and 5DS R. The 5D and 5DS are $3,500 MSRP,. and the 5DS R is $3,600 MSRP. The 5DS and 5DS R have a higher megapixel sensor at 50.6MP vs 30.4 MP on the 5D.
Or you can get the first version of 5D for about 200$, the Mark 2 for about 5-600$, and so on. But the price can be higher, for one with a relatively small number of shots. And for a 5D, a small number could be 50,000 shots.
The going rate for a MK1 is about 400 and 800-900 for MK2; I have passably been considering a second body.
I just received an E rated Mk1 from Adorama for $449 and an E+ rated 24-85 USM lens for $149. So $598 for a nice starter kit. Camera body came with the box, charger 2 batteries, Manual and Cables and Neck strap. For me its a cheap way to get into full frame. Its a second body to my Pentax K-3ii, I also still have an old 6 mp D60 and 10 mp Pentax K10.
Great deal. I got my 40D from Keh for $150. It had 33,000 clicks. Keh, Adorama and B&H are all tops..
I have had several good deals on used cameras from Adorama, My in new condition but only rated V AE-1p was $69 and my A-1 was rated V (it had the squeek) at $39
I have purchased several excellent lenses for the Pentax 645 from KEH. Also bought a used 5D mkii for IR conversion. The person making the conversion noted that the Canon had had some internal repairs, and was very clean and in excellent working condition. I look at their used prices first, before B&H, who have excellent used cameras and lenses, but are always a little more pricey. I think you meant mpb.com
