    Hello!

Recently, my 77D developed a thin thread-like digital line through around the middle of my shots. It’s not anything physical, like a hair, because it changes color depending on the subject. And it’s not a lens either, as it comes up on any lens I put on.

Nothing major happened to my camera before it came up. I simply changed a battery while I was using it, and BOOM it was there.

Here’s a before and after. I was using the camera while streaming for no more than an hour.

Not sure what might’ve caused it, but any insight would be much appreciated.

Feel free to ask for more info. I’ll supply what I can.

Well video has a 30 min cap for heating issues. I guess its possible that the sensor has developed this from extended use. I can't speak from experience I have not used my DSLR in this manner.
I would double check and see if you can install a newer firmware or reinstall if you are current. If its a software glitch that should resolve it.
Otherwise its hardware and you'll have to contact Canon.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll see if I can reinstall anything and update this thread if anything changes.
