Welcome! Probably one of the first places to start is studying up on the exposure triangle. ISO (sensor sensitivity), F stop (aperture opening), and Shutter Speed all work together to determine the exposure of your photo. Each setting will have an affect with the other with some benefit and some potential draw back. Use the light meter on your camera when experimenting with these settings.

Thank you! And yes, Ive read up and watched a few guides, and I'm starting to get a tiiiny understanding of the the trio individually, however I still need to do A LOT of more research which im excited about. Unfortunately there is still a few days before I get my hands on the actual cameras and equipment, so I'm doing as much research as possible to prepare myself. I really appreciate the advice and Gah, I'm super excited haha.

Welcome to the forum. You will find lots of help here so don't be afraid to ask even if it seems like a silly question. I am sure we will all be curious to see what gear you have when you get it.

Thanks! Thats great to hear. Will definitely update once I get the gear. As I currently have little to no clue about stuff, most my questions will probably be silly, so it's nice to know those questions are welcome aswell. I will make sure I do some research beforehand so I don't flood the place with questions that can be answered by a simple google search, but I'll definitely be asking for guidance throughout.

Thanks! This next tuesday I'll be flying up north and then i'll be able to check out the equipment. Still a few days away but luckily not that long! Should I make a seperate thread somewhere once I figure out what equipment is there?
