Looks like some real fun photographing these cars. You've got some nice blur on those wheels. I'd like to help out a bit by offering some tips. Firstly on post processing the image: It really needs a shadows lift to show more detail on the vehicle. It has some great features hidden in those shadows which would enhance the feel for the viewer. Next, I think your camera settings are not right for these types of shots. Panning is great fun and if you try these settings, you'll get some real keepers. At 1/640th there is no BG blur to show speed. Camera Settings 1. Shutter Priority Mode. Auto ISO 2. Shutter Speed 1/150th - 1/50th (I get good results at 1/80th - 1/60th). These speeds with a zoom lens can give great BG blur and wheel spin. 3. AI SERVO mode / Spot Metering / High Speed Continuous. 4. Shoot RAW or Raw and JPG. 5. Use BACK BUTTON FOCUS. (Important) After you get used to this you will never use 1/2 press shutter button method again. I haven't used it for over 10 years. 6. Single point focus OR 9-Point Zone. Set Tracking ON. 7. Pan with your body, not your wrists. Depending on the light situation, you may need to adjust the EV. If you use these settings you will get great shots. You can also use MANUAL mode instead of Tv but use the same settings as above and set between f:11 - f:16 Here's a sample: Canon EOS 7D Mark II | Manual | f/14 | 1/50 sec | ISO 100 | 50 mm | Metering: Evaluative | 0 EV | Lens: TAMRON 18-400mm
