I have a Canon EF 28-105mm f/3,5-4,5 II USM lens.

When switching to AF the camera recognize AF-mode, but the motor doesnt move at all and it makes no sounds. Also the focus ring works, but is kinda hard to move.
Is the motor itself broken maybe? If so, is it worth replacing?

    Thanks

Welcome to the forum, Alces. Your lens has within it a light grease which in time can dry out. without seeing the lens I can only guess, so may I suggest you get a quote on how much it is to have the lens serviced compared to a replacement. For my personal use, I use the 28 - 105 lens more than any other.

The lens is older and discontinued, you may e able to replace with a working used copy cheaper than repair. Depending on what you shooting preferences are there may be other options for replacement as well.
