7D MK2 soft focus

    Canon 85 mm f2.8
    Canon 16-35 mm f2.8
    i sadly had to trade my 5dmk4 to the 7Dmk2 economics . I just can’t seem to get a sharp photo certainly not like the 5D. I have set up the same as 5D but it all seems a bit soft even on a single shot .same lenses as 5D Iam scratching my head with this one

    Canon 7D Mk II, Canon 10-22, Canon 24-105 L Mk 1, Canon 24mm 2.8, Canon 55-250 STM, Canon 100mm usm macro, 3x Metz 58 AF1 & too many film cameras, mainly Pentax
    You just cannot compare a full frame to crop sensor due to different pixel count and pixel sizes. You will need different post processing techniques to get the optimum from your 7D2 in particular a higher level of sharpening. Stop trying to make comparisons and adjust the 7D2 settings and post processing to get the best results.

    Thankyou I will indeed try that but I did get the opportunity to lend the new Olympus cropped sensor camera with no focusing issues at all I would presume as better camera than the 7d. But thank you for answering.
