I scored this, rather pretty A-1 yesterday from a thrift store here in Ogden Utah for 20 dollars American. The paint seems pretty flawless but it does have the "Canon Squeak". Of the 5 total I've thrifted, it is the only one. 3in1 and a small syringe will fix it up in a jiff. The seals are about perfect too. Can't wait to run a roll of TMAX through this beauty!
A bit of an up-date on the A-1; I dripped some Singer anti-squeak oil down inside, and after I exhausted my thumb and index finger, she is now squeak free, cleaned up, and ready for a roll! Still, her name (I name them all) will be "Squeaky". I'll post pics when she's blasted a roll. Cept, I have not named the T70. HMMM

The A-1 shoots very well and has become my "goto" camera. Her name is still Squeeky and I've rewarded her with a power winder. The T70 is a wonderful shooter and sometimes it's hard to decide between the two. The T70's name is T'Pau. The only person to turn down a seat on the counsel. Being a Trekky, I found it only fitting.
Great find [when it functions] I remember the days when most SLRs came with a nice leather ERC! I am old!!
