I, like many others have my camera (7D MkII) set up for BBF. For the most part this works very well, except for the times I want to do images using my remote trigger. The remote still uses the half press of the shutter release button to obtain focus. I can always go in to the setup menu and change the focus method, but I would prefer not to do this as the chances are I would forget to reset the BBF and lose a few shots before I realised what was happening. Can I set one of the C1, C2, C3 custom settings to switch between different settings in the Custom Controls? How have other members dealt with this issue?

    All sorted.
I have been able to set up my camera so that I can achieve focus and metering using either half shutter button press, or using the AF-ON button without having to resort to using the C1-C3 dial. Very happy.

I thought that I had read somewhere that this was not possible.
