    Hi. I've just bought a Canon Printer/Scanner TS6350 and I'm impressed!!
I'm saying Hello to all the members / Sanyo customers because I know I'm going to need advice from you!
I can't wait to discover what the unit can do, and to explore options.
I have three questions from you:
    (1) How do I register the unit? There's no mention in the paperwork; there's a 'registration' screen that I completed but it asked me to click on a link, which I did. But it didn't actually say that my unit has been registered, how long the guarantee is etc
    (2) Should I be asking these questions in a separate part of the forum? This is the Welcome section of course.
    (3) Is there an FAQ here listing the various forums?

PS I've just realised that the registration email refers to registering my new membership here, not registering my unit for the guarantee etc. What should I do abbout that, please?

PPS I added my avatar and received confirmation it had been saved but it's not showing. I'll create a question as soon as I find out what forums there are.

Canon has had online registration links for some time, you should be fine if you were connected to the internet when you filled it out. You can call the toll free canon number and talk to customer service to verify. In fact many years back I called about my 20d and they back registered it on the phone during the call.

Thank you all for your cheerful welcome. I thought everything was fine but I've just discovered it isn't. :(
    (1) One of my sons-in-law set up my TS6350 and said he'd completed an on-line registration but he didn't (or something in the process failed). What should I do next, please?
    (2) I've only just realised that you lovely people are all 'photographic' so I must have got it wrong when I set up a forum profile. When I tried to set up a profile in the Printer/Scanner forum just now, it said it didn't recognise me - either my Profile name or password wasn't recognised so I clicked on 'forgotten User?' and it said it would send me an email but I haven't received one. That was over an hour ago.
I know for sure that I input my correct email address. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
    (3) Finally, do any of you know the URL of the Canon Printer/Scanner forum please? Every search I've done using Bing has brought me to this Photo forum.

PS I hope that this will be posted here - it was over five weeks ago that I first met you.

This is so spooky. After I visited you just now, I completed a feedback survey. In it, I said my main question for you today was how do I find the Printer forum. I entered my feedback and was then immediately taken to the printer forum here!! https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Printer/ct-p/printer Fingers crossed that they'll let me into their wing of the asylum when I know on their door after lunch. Thanks you all for cheering me up!! ;););)

HI Taffy, welcome to the forums here. Our forums are as you noticed a group of photographers discussing gear, processing and technique, we are also affiliated with our sister sites Pentaxfourms and Nikonforums.

Regarding your question about the forum for printers, looks like you found canon's forum called Canon community, the printer section is just a sub forum for their forums website, joining here will give you access to all their forums.

Good morning again. I used my Log-in details to post this - obviously! - but when I tried to sign into https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/Printer/ct-p/printer
it again brought up the error message below, despite the fact that my User name & password is supposed to open all the forums.

It suggested that I hadn't registered, so I went to the Registration Screen and input the info it needed. [It's the first time that I've seen CAPTCHA used.] I then hit another problem - it rejected my registration because my email address was already is use. As my snip of that screen hasn't an URL, I've uploaded it as a file.

I'm now getting a "printer out of paper" error message every I try to print. It's not out of paper, nor is there a paper jam. The first time it happened I had to load paper in a vertical feed at the back of the unit to get a print but that's unsatisfactory.

I'm now desperate to register my Canon TS6300/get a profile/have a unit that's working normally. Is it possible for you to escalate this to someone who has the ability/authority to resolve this nonsense, please?

PS I've just received an email asking me to give feedback. This should be interesting (if they take any notice of what I say!).

This is nonsense! I completed the feedback and added that the problem must be resolved today or I'll make a formal complaint to Canon's UK Managing Director Mr Y Mizoguchi. I sent the feedback and immediately had an error message that my feedback had failed. The error message disappeared before I could take a snip. I'll email Mr Mizogichi now and I'll keep you posted. You've been great. Much appreciated.

Thanks Kevin but I can't register the unit because it requires my email address and it says my email address is already in use!

UPDATE: Just after I emailed my complaint to Canon's UK Managing Director Mr Y Mizoguchi, I received an email from
Canon USA Forum <CanonForum@cits.canon.com> saying "To complete your registration, please click the link below to verify your email address:
    https://community.usa.canon.com/t5/user/VerifyUserEmailPage/user-id/153130/mail-message-tracking/KGHOXQVVCTHANU"

I clicked on the link and was delighted to find that my unit is now registered and I can post without any problems (touch wood!). I told Mr Mizoguchi how brilliant you've all been. Unless I buy a Canon camera, this will be my final post here. :(:(:( Many thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
