Arnors Waterfall N.London @18mm, ƒ5.6, ss 1/10, iso 100 @44mm, ƒ22, ss 1, iso 100 @44mm, ƒ8, ss 1/10, iso 100 M50 + efm 18-150mm with settings as marked under images Went out to Arnors Park in N.London near-ish to me to take a few smudges of the bridge for the months comp (bridges). hadn't been to the area for some years, knew there was a water way running around the park and there were a few small weirs so i took the usual precautions incase i wanted to get in the river to do some waterfall images, short skirt and wedges with an ankle strap As i've never been there with photography in mind i'd either not registered this fall or its been put in since i was last there, couple decades at least. was very excited to see it as ones i remembered were piddly foot high single steps River was only thigh high, just skimmed the bottom of my skirt, well chosen, its the first time i've used the benro travel light tripod in the water and it did what it was supposed to. I don't have any grad filters as yet, they would have been great for this one, reason i don't have any is i got sucked into the "you can do it in post", which in theory does make alot of sense esp if you got a lumpy line to follow, how ever with my "i like doing it in camera" attitude i sure wish i had of had one, mind you i probably wouldn't have had it today as it was a surprise fall. doing the edit in post for the exposure etc is very much doable but its a lot of sodding about. i posted the two ss speed images, i took quite a few from 1 sec to 1/2000, the 1 sec and 1/10 i liked the most, not really a long drop of a fall but nice place to practice, i'll be back there at some point.
Some very lovey images, Caladina, the position close to the water has set the images off, nicely. Well done.
yeah i've got some gf on the way, i could have edited the image in post for the foliage as there is a nice straight line on the waterfall i was more looking at the fall with shutter speed tests as its one of the first i've done with alot of shutter speeds
An image exposed well for the foliage blended with one with slower ss for the falls could be another way.
