Nice capture. Do you need an adapter to put the Pentax lens on to the Canon body. I have a few lenses from Pentax and was wondering if they can be used on my Canon eos 6d.
Yes, you do need an adapter. But the lenses I am using are screw mount lenses from the 1960s and 70s. This adapter is for EF mount and that is what your 6D has and it will fit your camera. You can also get adapters for using K-mount lenses on Canons but I am told that you may have to modify the lenses for them to work. I am not about to modify my K-mount lenses so I have not considered buying such an adapter. I also have a Canon 20D crop body which uses EFS lenses but EF lenses will work on it. But EFS lenses will not mount on an EF camera. The EF M42 adapter will mount on the 20D but the shutter will not fire. That does not worry me as I bought the adapter so I could use my 35mm lenses on a full frame body and that is working well. HTH.
Thanks. The Pentax lenses I have are of k mount type (Pentax 50mm f/1.7 SMC-A is one of them). Seems like it is not worth the trouble of modifying the lenses to put them on Canon.
