Brahminy duck - Lake Manasarovar, Tibet, China

Migratory bird wintering in the Indian subcontinent and breeding in southeastern Europe and central Asia, This bird came out of the lake and walked into the bush on the shores. It got back to the lake after a while.

Thanks Ray. There was not much flora and fauna at this location on my visit (it is supposed to have more). The fresh water lake is the highest in the world (15000 feet above MSL).

 

You sure made the most of what was available, Sundar. I did not expect to hear that a lake was at that height above SL. We don't have anything near that height in Australia.
