I have two Canon 7D mk iis. when I use Photo Mechanic to rename photos from one camera using the timestamp, I get hours minutes seconds and hundredths of seconds. But with photos from the other 7D mk ii, I only get hours minutes seconds.
So I'm wondering what might be causing this and how to fix it.

Identical firmware? If not that would be the first thought, that said I guess ive never looked that close at the timestamp of the photos I take :)

My first thought was do they have the same firmware. The only other thing that I can think of is maybe one camera has slightly different electronics in it.

The only reason I can see where you might need to record the hundredths of a second is if you are set on continuous shooting, are both cameras set up the same ? i.e. not with one on continuous and the other on single shot.
