Hi everyone, Well, my camera slipped out of my side harness and onto the ground….not a hard fall as I was sitting at the time! Immediately it showed the error code #101—not 01 which is the communication with the lens. Only that, with a black screen. When I turned it on both the back red light started flashing as well as the orange light on the front! No response from the camera at all. Error code on back screen and error code 000 on the top read out. Lights won’t turn off even when I switch it off so I have to remove the battery. The whole thing seems blocked. The 35 mm lens works on my R5 no problem. I tried cleaning the contacts with a light cloth but no joy. Anyone any ideas apart from sending it off?
Well, certainly not something I can hope of sorting out myself….that would be wishful thinking! Hopefully it can be mended without me having to re-mortgage my house lol. Thanks for your input johnsey, much appreciated.
Sounds like it's a hardware fault due to fall. Here I have found some list of error codes of Canon. Check this if you can find any solution. https://www.stellarinfo.com/article/canon-error-codes-and-fixes.php
