Hello, I am not a photographer so please forgive my lack of knowledge. I am currently building a mirror Photo Booth for my wedding and all has gone well so far. I am at the final hurdle which is lighting or in this case a flash. I am using a Canon M50 mark II and i have a godox controller that’s linked to a godox MS300 studio flash. The controller and the flash are linked but I cannot get my M50 to recognize the controller. It’s connected via the hot shoe. I’ve also tried a hot shoe adapter with a cable that went straight to the flash. My M50 didn’t recognize that either. Is this because there is something wrong with the hot shoe? Or perhaps it’s because it’s a godox controller? thanks for any knowledge you have on this, it’s driving me crazy.
try this see if its any help, as yours is mkII there might be some shifting in the menu's flash trigger i'm using atm is the godox xpro(c)
Hi, Thanks for your speedy response. I’m using the x pro s controller. I have tried this already and unfortunately the camera still doesn’t recognize the controller.
the reason for the C is to indicate its for canon, if you have one with an S then its probably for sony, the one for nikon is xpro(n) etc, so you need to get that sorted out first, you need the right one for canon use, x pro (c)
Well that is something I didn’t know! I will start with that then. Thanks, I will let you know how it goes.
