    Hello,

I am not a photographer so please forgive my lack of knowledge. I am currently building a mirror Photo Booth for my wedding and all has gone well so far. I am at the final hurdle which is lighting or in this case a flash. I am using a Canon M50 mark II and i have a godox controller that’s linked to a godox MS300 studio flash. The controller and the flash are linked but I cannot get my M50 to recognize the controller. It’s connected via the hot shoe. I’ve also tried a hot shoe adapter with a cable that went straight to the flash. My M50 didn’t recognize that either. Is this because there is something wrong with the hot shoe? Or perhaps it’s because it’s a godox controller?

thanks for any knowledge you have on this, it’s driving me crazy.

    Hi,
Thanks for your speedy response. I’m using the x pro s controller. I have tried this already and unfortunately the camera still doesn’t recognize the controller.

the reason for the C is to indicate its for canon, if you have one with an S then its probably for sony, the one for nikon is xpro(n) etc, so you need to get that sorted out first, you need the right one for canon use, x pro (c)
