Well I was able to put the ink in my pro 100 and complete the setup and print a test print.
The error is a ink error which tells me they are not registered as snapped in, or snapped in the right spots. I would unplug int open the whole thing up re-seat the ink and put it back together and plug it in and try the setup one more time. If that doesn't work you probably have to call canon. They will walk through the steps with you and confirm if the printer is just a bad egg. Personally if they don't identify an obvious glitch like the ink being snapped in properly I would swap it at the store you bought it from and let them send it back to canon as defective.
