Not really much in the way of photography but i been busy making a oxy-acetelyne cart, traditional carts carry the bottle side by side to the line of travel, i wanted one that had them in line to the line of travel, more like a mig welder. reason for this was due to space in my 6x3.5 meter garage when i have my car in there. the bottles are half size of regular ones being boc y and J sizes. quite handy that the oxy acetelyne was able to help make its own cart, i needed to make a round form for the bottle holders which i formed red hot around an old break rotor disc that i welded a bar the correct undersize for the bottles. same for the rear axle mounts, formed those with the heat too, as were the moline red crosses you see in the background, which was the primary point of getting the bottles i had always wanted to get them always found away to make do with out them. very glad to have them now. maybe i can make my infamous oxy-acetelyne xmas crackers i made one year at work (gauntlets and face shield provided!!)
Very impressive. You have skills that I don't. Have you thought about making something similar to cart your photography stuff around with? Gary
only thing i thought of for that would be like an old ladies shopping trolley with an internal suspended section so it negated any bumps on the road so the lenses don't get shocked. that being said i just though a tank with a mega long telephoto lens in the turret would be mad
I like the idea of that. Just remember to mount your EF 1200mm lens and not a pancake lens in the turret. Gary
Caladina, what a disgustingly neat tidy garage, Your welding trolley is well engineered and thought out, the welds are nicely done. My trade background is a Mechanical Fitter, so I appreciate the work that has gone into the trolley.
You could also add a small engine and a seat so you do not have to walk and to top it off a stubbie holder.
Anyone know what type of door handle / lock this would be called. its one i made myself from various round tube square tube and flat, i added because i thought Craig might find it interesting. its basically a bolt that protrudes through the other side of the door with a handle on the bolt instead of a knob end............LEAVE IT!!!!!! i made the door too as i'm blocking up places i don't want our pregnant cat to go have kittens, this area is a place under stairs with loads of tools etc
