Different, I must say Kevin. It has turned out to be a great silhouette with a nice vignetter. To get birds in flight, start at 1/2000th sec. shutter speed to really freeze the bird and get all those great details. I shot some recently at 3200th. sec. No problems.

as an image i find the silhouette has motion blur, this looks like a fault rather than an effect in this particular image, i suggest a higher shutter speed, the vignetting is too grainy, this is also a trait of the silhouette, for this i suggest a better blend / blur.
as for the composition / image intention it is great, birds in silhouette, esp diving are a great black and white composition.
the vignette, although not to my liking can work as an artistic comp, the unsharp subject either needs more intended blur or a more intentional sharp image.
    a critique review.
