    Down by the lake.
Canon EOS1Ds, Canon EF 28-135 f/3.5-5.6 IS USM.
This 28-135 is not an L Series lens but it really deserves to be. It is sharp and it renders colours beautifully.

Looks like a great place to get some good bird images Ray. That is, if you're in to birding :)

Yes, I am into birding and there are quite a few birds there - purple swamphens (not my favourite bird), Australian Coot, darters, heron, egret and my favourite - our black swan pair who are nesting with 5 eggs which are almost due to hatch.

Nice selection of water birds for you to observe and photograph Ray. You are fortunate that the swans nest somewhere that they can be observed, obviously they don't feel threatened. I will put up some from my local lake in another thread.

The original images are of the launching platform for the RC Model Boat Club (both sail and power) and I am their official photographer.

A nice set there Ray, I particularly like the first one. You could have fun with forced perspective using these models.

I haven't tried any forced perspective shots. I often take shots where there is no reference to the surroundings and thus no way to know the real size of the boats.and that's why I provided the second image.

Ray, I like the first of the three images, the RC yacht with the yachts reflection in the water.

Thank you, Craig. You have extremely good taste as that is my number 1 favourite image that I have taken with the 1Ds.

As I indicated above, we were waiting for the swans' eggs to hatch...and today three of them did. I have counted five eggs under her so there should be two more to come. Here are the first three little bundles of fluff:

Thanks Ray, I must admit you do have good taste in cameras.
