Seen all three versions but only one can be true. I think its Cross-split. Can provide proves of all three.i meant wrong statements and one is the truth. e.g. on Canon EOS 1N-prospectus they say Fadenkreuz(german for cross-lines) but it ,must be cross-split(see EOS accessories). EC-I: cross hair reticle. In german double 1N/1 and 5 prospectus Ec-I is called Doppelfadenkreuz(double hair cross) its so tiny i cant swear if its really double cross or single cross hairlines. i think the identical screens have cross only. with canon CH i informed about me collecting all data and send them to ask at headquarters. Unsure how long it takes tilin stock again.one shop says august or september. i called up a swiss reseller. online Ec-L is cross-split but he mentioned its Fadenkreuz. cross hair reticle.official name
