Stars, but not really night. :) Well, it **WAS** very dark! :)

Here are a few very quick preliminary edits. These were taken just west of Morrill, Nebraska. (see: Nowhere, Middle Of) :)

Partial shots came out good. I was disappointed in the Bail(e)y Bead ones but I did get a few almost-good diamond ring ones which I have not really tried post-processing yet.

    Thanks. :)

To make a long story long ... :)

It was just outside the small town of Morrill, NE. I was originally planning on a site I picked by Lewiston, NE, much close to me, but the forecast was very iffy.

This was a YOLO thing, so I got up about 2am, left about 4, and drove west and northwest into the totality zone until I hit very clear skies.

About 15 minute before the first contact I picked a place literally (with homage to Arlo) off the side of a side road and set up the tripod and did it.

I took my time driving back, shooting some ruins in some of the almost-ghost-towns on the way back. Yes, I used a Canon for some of these and I'll post some. :)
