YO !! I actually used some fresh film Ilford XP2 400 Super dated March 2023 ! it was for a coach trip to Canterbury, KENT ( England) I organised for members of Brentwood & District Photographic Club. We had a 'Group of 6' !! I took my 'Gift' EOS 300v + EF 500mm f1.8, Tokina AF 20-35mm f3.5-4.5 and EF Zoom 75-300mm f4-5.6 Mk III and my lovely 1956 AGFA Isolette III loaded with outdated Kodak Portra 400NC . I used PhotoShop 7 'Transform' to adjust the 'Verticals' ( CHEAT ! ) i have MORE but enough for now --
Not bad for an 84 year Old Fogey 'Beginner' at 'Digital Processing' compared with my usual 'Darkroom Processing'
Thanks Craig --- you give m some Great Comments -- I have many years experience in several 'Camera Clubs' and darkroom work which i can carry over into 'Digital Processing' of scanned negatives. For example '' CURVES' I discovered are like the Film 'H&D Curve.
I am at the other end of the scale, I teach a photography class, mostly digital but have about 30 odd film cameras, a 8x10, a 4x5, 4 x 120 film cameras and 28 x 35mm film cameras, most working but no darkroom. Most of the 35mm cameras come from Vinnies where I volunteer, the darkroom was under construction under my house but some torn ligaments in my leg has brought it to a screaming halt, 4 months ago ( what idiot said exercise classes were good for you?). I have 3x b and w photo enlargers, a colour enlarger and equipment , hopefully in a few months I can get back to work on it, I am looking forward to developing film and photos.
Craig -- so sorry to read about the Hold UP in your Darkroom building -- if you were 'Nearer' i could develop B&W films for you and you could collect the negs !
Thanks for the offer, like anything worth while patience is a virtue. In the mean time I shall continue to collect more bits and pieces for the darkroom.
