Greetings from Wallingford. I'd like to start off by saying I'm a total novice, and this is my first 35 mm camera. I received the Canon EOS Rebel T6 Premium Kit as gift from my wife. I guess complaining about the quality of photos I was getting from my cell phone and my Olympus Tough. I keep trying to get some good pics of the resident hawks that dine at our bird feeders. I plan on using the T6 mainly for outdoor photography at places like the beach, while hiking, fishing, and maybe the night skies. Oh and I can't forget backyard bird watching or food porn. I'm a grilling and smoking enthusiast that love to share pics of my cooks. I'm looking forward to digging through this forum for all the information my brain can consume and then some. Cheers!
Hello and welcome to the forum Bobby! Sound like you have a pretty decent kit to start your journey with a DSLR, with 18 to 300mm covered you should be set for most situations including some bird watching. Don't hesitate to ask any questions from the clan here. And once you get more familiar with the gear and discover the limitations of the kit lenses I am sure we can help give you ideas for upgrades.
