I'm noticing that a lot of your images are blurred Kevin. If you want to use a low shutter speed, you will have to mount the camera on a tripod or use some other method to stabilize your camera. I would like to see you take some images using "Shutter Priority". Set a fast shutter 1/1000th (or higher) and AUTO ISO. The aperture will be set automatically. It's OK for any wildlife shooting to not use Manual Mode. A lot of professional wildlife photographers use Shutter Priority (Tv)and others prefer Aperture Priority (Av). Always try new and different settings to see what gives you the the best results. Here's a couple of photos I took using Shutter Priority. EOS 7D | 1/800 sec | f/6.3 |ISO 160 | Shutter priority | Evaluative Metering | 500 mm EOS 7D | 1/1600 sec | f/7.1 | ISO 100 | Shutter priority | Spot Metering | 500 mm
Thanks for the advice most my shots are taken through my car window this looks o.k on my lap top and monitor
