Hi everyone! My name is Nicola, I'm Italian and I'm currently living and working in Córdoba, Argentina. I've been a happy owner of a Canon 450D for 10 years, which has been unfortunately having some recurrent issues lately that are making it difficult to use. While I'm willing to fix it and continue to enjoy it, I would also like to take this opportunity to upgrade to a newer and higher level body. I have narrowed down the choice to a couple of models, but can't quite decide which one is the most suitable to my needs. I joined the forum to ask for suggestions and also for its friendly atmosphere Here's my flickr account with a sample of the pictures I have taken throughout the years: https://www.flickr.com/photos/56349611@N05/ Talk to you soon!!
Welcome, Nicola, from Australia. You have a great collection of nature images on Flickr. Very well done. What new Canon models are you considering?
Thank you Ray! And you have many great pictures of Australia in yours! hope one day I'll be able to visit. I am considering buying either a used 70D or a 77D, I wrote a detailed post in the section "Canon EOS Digital SLRs" that is currently waiting for moderator's approval. I'll be happy to receive your suggestions!
Hello and welcome to the forum from another part of the world. Spending someones else's money......... That is always fun. I had a really quick look at both models, and I would go for the 77D. Mainly because of being a 24mp camera. I didn't look at weather sealing, shutter speeds, ISO, and noise levels. These are things to look at as well. I am sure that you will enjoy the better body. Also check that they have the functions you need. Which ever model you choose, I am sure you will notice an improvement in technology. I like your images as well. Gary
Hi Gary! Thank you very much! In the other post I wrote there have already been suggestions that made me broaden the search a bit. I'll see in the next few days what the Argentinian market has to offer; which can be pretty challenging as, for example, the 77D is really difficult to get at a reasonable price here (almost 200$ more expensive than the US) and the offer I was following (just 100$ more than the US price) has already expired. If you feel like reading the post and comment further, I will gladly listen to your suggestions! Cheers, Nicola
