While I have an interest in Pentax, I do like to look at others. The last film camera I bought before taking the plunge on a digital camera was a 2nd hand Canon T90 that I rate as my favourite non AF camera. With the advent of film taking a back seat I have picked up a few AF cameras, Pentax, Canon and Minolta. My retirement should mean hopefully that I will be able to progress from a novice to something more knowledgeable in photography and will learn from this forum too.
I am an old timer, with Pentax and Yashica film gear and switched from film about 5 years ago. I have managed quite successfully to use the connectors available to be able to use my old Pentax K mount lenses with my Canon. Having grown up with a manual light meter and manual lenses, It still comes quite naturally. But no IS or Autofocus or aperture control, it makes a big change switching between the new and the old.
