Hi, 58 year old builder. I am very much an amateur. Bought my first dslr about 18 months ago due to bad health and needing to do lots of walking. I started seeing wildlife and taking pics with my phone soon got a pentax ist-D off ebay. My wife started coming out with me once she saw my photos and soon after that I gave her my pentax and I bought a Canon 400d now we go out most weekends walking and taking photos and some weekends we book bed and breakfast and go to a RSPB reserve as one of our daughters bought us a membership.

    Hi Ian,

I understand how you and your wife love to get out and photograph wildlife. I do too and before I ventured out to Bolsa Chica Wetlands in SoCal I had no idea that I'd love it as much as I do. Now I live along the gulf coast of Texas and enjoy the many wildlife refuges here.
