I video my daughter's soccer games with a tripod and elevated telescoping pole. I just purchased a Canon G40 and it works great with my Feelworld 7" monitor connected via HDMI. The problem started when I attempted to connect it to my 13" Sunforunder monitor. It doesnt recognize the camera. This same monitor with the same HDMI cable recognizes my Sony CX405. Anyone got any ideas if there are any settings I need to adjust in the camera so it will be recognized by the monitor. There are n adjustments on the monitor. Thanks.

Seems to be a compatibility with certain HD output based on another trying to use it with a high end video camera:

Also according to the review here seems like it works well with computers, but some people had to configure the Raspberry PI (which it is marketed for) to get it to work. I think your out of luck for this camera.
