Hey there! Just a quick shout out to say HOWDY from Independence, MO. I'm a former professional newspaper photographer (working in health care) who now shoots pictures for fun with my Canon Rebel SL1. When I was shooting pictures professionally, I used Canon A1's and Canon F1's (film cameras, if you're not familiar with them). I still have quite a bit of my pro equipment, and it's fun to find ways to use my old film equipment with my newer dSLR.
