Is there a way to sync studio strobes to smartphones?

    I was thinking, it'll be a great way to have a 'budget' setup for smartphones, and great if your model/people/friends want to share the same quality of light in their photos, but without you having to send it over, and they can just upload instantly if they want to.

    The only option I know of is the godox a1? Why can't someone just make it work like a cable to film cameras with lights? Is it a hardware/software issue?

    I'm not sure. I think you would have better luck with continuous lighting. My concern is that the strobe light flash happens so quickly, if it's even slightly out of sync with whatever smartphones do, it wouldn't be effective.
