I was loaned a EOS 5d Mk II + 50mm f1.4 Lens by a good Camera Club and Flickr Mate today so hew could see how i got on with it doing some 'Street Photography' around our town of Brentwood Essex ( England) YO !! It was an 'Experience' ! The Auto-Focus actually WORKED and focus on moving subjects was so fast -- he had to set 'Single Shot; as I started to take 2 of everything -- Zip Zip ! Not used to THAT using Real FILLUM as I have to conserve the exposures ! It is 'Full Frame' so I could 'Crop' the Photos and still get a good sharp snap to upload to Forums. I show the first few downsized a bit -- there are 4 more to come if you are interested to see 'Brentwood in Essex' ---
Camera held at waist level as he walked towards me so he is not straight --

Got her crossing the main road to Chelmsford ---

Brentwood Almshouses -- you can read the details -- the lens is sharp !

Ha Ha ! You can see my Mate across the Road struggling with his Camera Bag after his 'Flu Jab !

I snapped a bit early so had to crop the photo --

Not bad set of snaps for a Canon 'Digital Beginner' with an 'All-Singing-all' Dancing EOS 5D Mk II

Welcome to the digital world and full frame Canon. A very good first series. I think you might be hooked. There's no turning back now. :):D

What do you think Peter. Why loan one when you can own one.

Ha Ha ! The WIFE has forbade me from 'Buying' any more Photography gear -- I'm 83 now and a 5 times Cancer Survivor ( SO FAR but the PSA is going UP again) so she thinks I will be going to 'The Big Darkroom in The Sky' leaving a room full of Cameras, Enlargers, sink. Nova Unit ' flashes etc etc .
