Makes you wonder why they released a new model instead of updating the firmware of the current version. Not seeing a lot new here. Gary
christmas badge probably, was hoping for ibis at least, not sure its enough to make many upgrade their current M50, certainly not me, was hoping to see a few cheap M50's on the market for my gf, at the moment they hold their price pretty well.
will be interesting to see what the uk/euro M50 gets as a frmware update later on in the year as the mkii isn't expected to be a uk release*, *read that somewhere. apparently the world geographic center had a recording of a global seismic event, but quickly realized it was canon fan boys (and girls) chins hitting the floor
only if they were going to dump the M6, that could be why they haven't really moved it forward in spec, it would push into the M6 territory. the 24mp seems goo considering it is supposed to be an entry level camera, canon seems to forget there are photographers loving this camera and its not just vloggers using it. that being said there is no justification to call it a mk ii when its essentially all software updates. its probably done more harm than good creating negatives when there actually are no negatives, just 'wth you think you doing' feelings the updates are so few and specs so close to the M50 they could have just left the same M50 name on it and just mentioned it as an update unit from october build on. i'm guessing most of the tuff people expected would require a retooling. i have seen that there is a R5A which is a specific build (ir filter) for astronomy, it would be nice if canon did a P version of some of their popular models, that being P for Photography, a camera that has basic video, and more stills related goodies. wait a camera thats specifically for stills.................sound stupid to bring it up, maybe i'm nit picking , canon after all make cameras just for video.
