Does anyone know whether it is possible to take multi exposures in camera using a Canon M6 Mk11 Have been all through the manual/menu but cannot see any reference to it so doubt possible.
Hello Angela. This has to be done in Post in photoshop or similar, one of the advantages of film is re-exposing the same image. If you don't have access to photoshop, gimp is a free program you can download and is very similar. Check out You Tube for more information on how to download it and use it.
its a shame you can do this in more basic digital cameras in camera. i used to have alot of fun with film (and the disc cameras) we completely fooled my mom that dad had a secret twin brother for years double exposing. also adding ghosts or haunted spectre to a film before you took a pic of someone was fun too. I think the M50 is a post only with double exposing?

In film days you could experiment with different exposures and the control was on the user. Letting canon take and merge shots gives 1 output with no control. Working in post production with multiple images would give you far power to produce creative images, just like you had in camera with film.
yes doing the multi in post is far the better option for getting exactly what you want, there is a certain fun of getting it in camera, also with post photo shopping its harder to fool someone with a picture these days, when someone sees you take a picture and you show them the multi exposed picture right there its alot of fun.
Many thanks for your response and as suspected you cannot do double exposure in camera with the M6. Real shame as can be fun. Oh well, back to PS!!
