My 'Patient Wife' lets me test cameras and lenses on her -- I took a Portrait by available light in kitchen with ceiling lights on to see how accurately I could focus my Canon FD SC 100mm f2.8 lens at full aperture f2.8 using my 'new Varifocal Spectacles' -- I used my Canon A-1 loaed with 03/2009 dated Ilford HP5+ which I processed in home-made 'FX-4' developer 1+1 and did a Whole-Plate Size print on Old Ilfospeed Glossy grade 2 with my Durst M305 enlarger. I think although 'Soft' looking I focused well .
I like a soft look for portraits myself, very nice work. May I ask...what do you use to digitize your films?
For Negatives and Slides I have an Epson 2480 flatbed scanner with a strip light above and use Vuescan Pro which I WON FREE. For PRINTS I have a 'gift HP scanjet 4570c Flatbed and use the Vuescan and for both I have FREE FastStone Image Viewer or PhotoShop 7 to 'adjust things if necessary' and to'resize down' for Club or Forum use. When all is done and 'named' i put 'CANON' Photos into 'Pictures ' and a folder marked 'All CANON photos' !!
I learnt from Demos at my Club, Brentwood & District Photographic Club and from FLICKR and other photo Forums .
