First light over Jia-Bhoreli river. We have to cross the river to get to the park. Jia-Bhoreli is a tributary of mighty Brahmaputra river. The river originates in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, India.

White-winged wood duck. This is an endangered species rarely sighted (as rare as Tigers) but we were very fortunate to see two of them from a distance. Need to zoom the image to see them (they are slightly right off the center). This is a state bird of Assam.
