Hello there. I bought a LP-E6N battery from a reputed local seller. After recharging it for 3 hours I inserted it and it shows 2 green bar instead of 3. Why this can be happened? It is new, I compared the battery power connector with the existing one of mine. It's fresh. I contacted the seller, he assured me it's brand new and not fake and recommended me to keep using it, if performance is bad, he will replace it.
Run it down and charge fully a few times it may need to learn the battery. If it still doesn't report right swap it for a different one. Do not force over charge lithium batteries it can take life off the battery. Easy example of this is your phone, people who charge partial charges on their smart phone kill the battery twice as fast as us that use it till 20 and then charge full again.
