Look honestly I am here because camera lingo is wayyyyy above my paygrade. I am looking for some opinion from people who regularly use these products to point me right... My budget is about 500$ but is it better to get an older model with more lenses? how much of a leap/upgrade is each model above the last... etc. any advice on whats good (including if i need a bigger budget) would be appreciatedNox Showbox Mobdro

Mason, I could give you what works for me but might not suit you so the question you should ask is what would suit your interests in which type of photography, is it landscape or photos of family, macro or sports etc. I suggest that you go onto youtube and type in your interest and see what the presenters are using in the way of cameras and lenses. When you have a fair idea of what you like go along to a camera shop and ask to try out those or similar combinations and take some photos to see if what they have suits your needs.
Quite often you don't need expensive gear. If you have any questions feel free to ask as this is a small but friendly forum and there is always someone who is willing to give advice. All the best with it, regards Craig S.

Each upgrade in the rebel series is going to be better than the previous version. Having said that, you can get a used T6i for the budget you're looking at. T3i is obviously going to be the cheapest on the list. Any of those are honestly a good starter camera for you.
