Hi, I have recently found a camera that's several years old and has been collecting dust for a while.

I was trying out some pictures, but they seem to come out with stripes on them.

When I am looking at the screen the image is completely fine, but once the picture is taken it comes up like the attached photo.

Is there anyone who knows what could cause this, and if this could be an easy fix ?

I would greatly appreciate any help

    Many thanks CanonStriped.jpg

    2 things...

    1. you mean live view prior to image taking is showing full color when being a viewfinder? But the display of the file is bad.
    2. Does the file when downloaded (to your computer or tablet) have stripes?

Seems like either the wiring to the display is glitchy or the sensor that records the image is toast. You repair would require way more cost than this $50 canon is worth.
