    Lovely flower Tony. Just a tip: When photographing RED colour, most digital cameras blow out the red channel for some reason. Try a few shots at lower exposures and compare them to see when you get the correct detail. Histogram is your best friend here - close to the right but not touching it. Also shoot them completely shaded from the sun, which keeps the shadows and effectiveness to a minimum. ALWAYS shoot RAW and set the White Balance to DAYLIGHT. These ideas work for me but are only suggestions. Others may chime in (which would be great).
