Hello, I'm a beginner and I currently having some issues with my 600d camera
So I was shooting in a very humid environment on my live view, and when I press the shutter the shutter released but everything went black, with no responses. I tried to turn it off and on again and now the screen is on the main screen with an imprint of the live view until I turned it off again and take out the battery that is when I hear the shutter drop and after I put the battery back in then everything when back to normal.
I want to ask if this is ok?

P/s: the firmware is 1.0 and before this happens I pumb it around in my bag, i also a few rain droplets onto it but I clean it instantly

So someone who uses live view a lot should probably jump in on this and say from their experience if that had similar happenings.

What I can say is if you use Live view, the camera is not only running the sensor constantly to send video to the back screen, but it is also holding up the mirror that is normally dropped down in front of the sensor. So you heard the mirror drop likely, not a shutter would be my guess, but the mechanical shutter would be open the whole time too. Both would have to be up /open for the sensor to send anything to the live view screen.

Were you just leaving live view running when you weren't looking at the back of the camera and hiking around? That probably was not ideal, use live view when your actually taking the shot. Its a battery drain and holds up the mechanical mirror up and mechanical shutter open so its not meant for being jostled around on your back.
