YO !! a Good Camera Club Mate gave me a Plustek OptikFilm 7200 film scanner as he had got the later model 8200i for £18 quids at a Car Boot Sale so gave me his first one . There were NO film holders with it. I had to search and ordered from a '3rd Party ' on AMAZON -- Waited over 3 weeks -- no delivery -- they said item had been 'Dispatched July 13th for Delivery July 23rd ' NO DELIVERY so I made a Complaint and their E-mail said 'Technical Difficuties in Warehouse , Item had NOT actually left -- did I want a Refund' So I left a Negative Complaint and got some Film Holders from WEX Photographic next day Delivery ! Then I got a phone call from a Bloke apologising and I told him I had checked up on his Company and the 'warehouse' was in Amsterdam and Company Office actually in USA but he said it was 'GERMANY' so I broke into GERMAN that I had learnt in the Army RAMC 1955-58 and he was amazed and offered as Compensation to pay for my WEX Holders !! Vielen Dank ! So I tried out scanner on some A-1 Velvia Slides taken June 2009 in Normandy. FRANCE for the 65th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings and went there in my 'Veterans' Gear' even though I was 11 years TOO LATE for D-Day but the real D Day Vets let me march with them as a Respect for the Men Who Didn't Make It and I was VERY PROUD ! Many thanks not only for the awesome photography, but also for the excellent background narrative. A very well executed project of profound importance. Cheers Mate. ) tt
