Sunpak Flash problem

    Hi
    I have a Canon 70D, which is fine, but I recently purchased a Sunpak PF30X flash on ebay which is suppose be compatible with Canon digital cameras, I have put new batteries in, test fired it off camera, fine, set the in camera flash menu to ETTL evaluative and P mode , but nothing, it will not fire, any suggestions please?

    Sunpak’s PF30X is available in three versions for different camera brands, Canon, Nikon and Sony. The Canon version is part code PF30XC. If you have not got this version then it will not work with your camera.

    There seems to be an issue with it and the seller has accepted a return, so I'll be looking at an alternative.
